Dr. Stanislav Zhuk earned his Bachelor of Science degree with Highest Honors in Molecular Biology from the University of Texas, Austin, and his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He continued his training with an Internship at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas in the Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Zhuk then went on to a Residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas in the Department of Ophthalmology and completed his Fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Surgery at The Foundation for Retinal Research in New Orleans..
A member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, Louisiana Medical Association and Louisiana Ophthalmological Association, Dr. Zhuk has teaching experience including service as an Internal Medicine Preceptor, Clinical Medicine Mentor and Anatomy Mentor. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and was the recipient of the University of Texas Distinguished Scholar Award.
Dr. Zhuk is an active researcher, participating in various ophthalmic studies and clinical research. He is also the author of an article published in a prominent peer-reviewed journal.
